Jay Wadley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Swan Song, Indignation, I Carry You with Me, Tales from the City, Olympic Dreams) has recently been scoring the upcoming romantic comedy Fire Island. The film is directed by Andrew Ahn (Spa Night) and stars Joel Kim Booster, Bowen Yang, Zane Phillips, James Scully, Tomas Matos, Matt Rogers, Conrad Ricamora, Nick Adams Torian Miller and Margaret Cho. The movie inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is set in the New York hamlet of Fire Island Pines and revolves around around two best friends who set out to have a legendary weeklong summer vacation with the help of cheap rosé and a cadre of eclectic friends. Booster also wrote the screenplay. Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris, Younger), John Hodges (The Kings of Summer) and Brooke Posch (Broad City, Difficult People) are producing the Searchlight Pictures production for JAX Media. Wadley has previously scored Ahn’s last feature, Driveways. Fire Island will premiere on June 3, 2022 on Hulu.
