Éditions Appærent has released a soundtrack album for the drama I Was a Simple Man. The album features the film’s original music is composed by Alex Zhang Hungtai & Pierre Guerineau. I Was a Simple Man is written and directed by Christopher Makoto Yogi and stars Steve Iwamoto and Constance Wu. The movie is in the pastoral countryside of the north short of O’ahu, Hawai’i and tells the story of an elderly man facing the end of his life who is visited by the ghosts of his past. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, was released in select U.S. theaters last fall by Strand Releasing and is now also available on VOD and DVD.
