Alex Belcher (Extraction, 21 Bridges, Made in America, IO) has recently scored the upcoming action thriller The Contractor. The film is directed by Tarik Saleh (The Nile Hilton Incident, Metropia) and stars Chris Pine, Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, Fares Fares, Nina Hoss and Amira Casar. The movie follows a Special Forces Sergeant who is involuntarily discharged from the Army and – desperate to provide for his family – contracts with a private underground military force and finds himself hunted when his very first assignment goes awry. J.P. Davis (The Neighbor) wrote the screenplay. Thunder Road Pictures’ Basil Iwanyk (Sicario, The Town) and Erica Lee (John Wick series, Bruised) are producing the project. The Contractor will be released in select theaters and on VOD on April 1 by Paramount Home Entertainment before premiering on Showtime and Paramount+ later this year.
