Needlewood Records has released a soundtrack album for the German/Swiss drama Monte Verità. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, Hotel Mumbai, The Old Guard, Adrift, Your Honor, Patrick Melrose, Ammonite, Stowaway). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio clips. Monte Verità is directed by Stefan Jäger and stars Maresi Riegner, Max Hubacher, Julia Jentsch, Hannah Herzsprung, Joel Basman and Philipp Hauss. The movie set in the early 20th Century and tells the story of Hanna Leitner, a young woman who goes into therapy with the young psychoanalyst Otto Gross and follows him to Monte Verità, where she discovers the fascination of photography. The drama is being released in German theaters today.
