22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French TV series Germinal. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Audrey Ismaël (Gloria, Angel Face, Grown Ups, Chacun pour tous). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Germinal is created by Julien Lilti based on Émile Zola’s classic 19th Century novel of the same title, directed by David Hourrègue and stars Louis Peres, Alix Poisson, Thierry Goard, Guillaume de Tonquedec, Samy Bouajila, Natacha Lindinger, Rose-Marie Perreault, Jonas Bloquet, Steve Tientcheu, Aliocha Schneider and Marilou Aussiloux. The historical drama is in Northern France during the 1860s and follows a man who flees Lille after assaulting a superior and finds refuge in the coal mining town of Montsou. The series just premiered on France 2 last week following its debut on the French streamer Salto and is also coming out in other European markets over the next weeks and months.
