Les Films Velvet has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Red Soil (Rouge). The album features the film’s original music composed by Pierre Desprats (The Wild Boys, Perfect Nanny, Don’t Look Down). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audios samples. Red Soil is directed by Farud Bentoumi and stars Zita Hanrot, Sami Bouajila, Céline Sallett, Olivier Gourmet, Henri-Noël Tabary and Alka Balbir. The movie follows a young nurse working at her dad’s chemical factory who uncovers long hidden secrets and arrangements between the syndicates, politicians and industry leaders and has to choose between her father or become a whistleblower. The drama, which was selected as part of the official competition at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, premiered at several film festivals over the last year and will be released in French theaters this coming Wednesday, August 11.
