Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Blast Beat. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Murillo R. (Who Killed Sara?, Dad Wanted, Between Sea and Land). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Blast Beat is co-written and directed by Esteban Arango and stars Mateo Arias, Moises Arias, Wilmer Valderrama, Kali Uchis, Ashley Jackson, Diane Guererro and Daniel Dae Kim. The movie tells the story of a metalhead science prodigy and his aimless younger brother who leave their native Colombia for the United States in the summer of ‘99 and struggle to align the American Dream with their new reality. The drama premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and has just been released in select theaters and on VOD this past Friday by Vertical Entertainment/Sony Pictures.
