Decca Classics will release a soundtrack EP for Florian Zeller’s Academy Award-nominated drama The Father. The 5-track EP features the music from the film composed by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, This Is England, Samba). The EP will be released digitally tomorrow, April 23 and will be available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The Father is co-written and directed by Zeller and stars Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Imogen Poots ,Mark Gatiss, Rufus Sewell and Olivia Williams . The movie, which has received six Oscar nominations (for Best Picture, Actor, Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actress, Film Editing and Production Design), revolves around a man who refuses assistance from his daughter as he ages and tries to make sense of his changing circumstances. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, was released in theaters earlier this year by Sony Pictures Classics and is now also available on PVOD.
