Charlie Rosen has composed the original score for the upcoming comedy Here Today. The film is directed by Billy Crystal who also stars in the movie, alongside Tiffany Haddish, Anna Deavere Smith, Penn Badgley, Louisa Krause, Nyambi Nyambi and Laura Benanti. The movie is inspired by the short story The Prize by Alan Zweibel (The Story of Us, North) and centers on the unlikely friendship between a veteran comedy writer and a New York street singer. Crystal who previously directed the theatrical features Mr. Saturday Night & Forget Paris, as well as HBO’s 61* also co-wrote the screenplay with Zweibel. They are also producing the project with Haddish and Fred Bernstein & Dominique Telson (The Best of Enemies). Rosen who is best known for his work as an arranger/orchestrator and music producer on numerous Broadway productions (including Be More Chill, American Psycho and Honeymoon in Vegas) has previously scored Comedy Central’s The Presidents Show. Here Today will be released in theaters nationwide on May 7, 2021 by Stage 6 Films/Sony Pictures.

Saw the film today, and was instantly taken with the opening and closing music. Would purchase if available!
Yes I agree besides talking about alzheimers in a unique way the music was wonderful. I would also love to get both opening and closing songs.

Superb movie, and the soundtrack of every song with that muted trumpet player is just profound. To think no one thought to publish the soundtrack on CD of this timeless music is just a HUGE miss. Charlie Rosen needs to push and get this done. It’s a no brainer!
