PAN has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Island of the Hungry Ghosts. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aaron Cupples (Nocturnal, The Disappearance of My Mother). Also included are selections of sound recordist Leo Dolgan’s field recordings from the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 29 and is available for pre-order here. A vinyl edition is available to order on Amazon. Island of the Hungry Ghosts is directed by Gabrielle Brady and centers on trauma therapist Poh Lin Lee who works at Christmas Island’s asylum seeker detention center. The movie, which premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the Award for Best International Documentary, opened in theaters in Australia and several European markets and is now available in the U.S. on VOD.
