Christopher Drake (Tusk, Yoga Hosers, Batman: Arkham Origins, Batman: Year One) has composed the original score for the upcoming period horror thriller The Reckoning. The film is directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent, Centurion, Hellboy) and stars Charlotte Kirk, Joe Anderson, Steven Waddington, Sean Pertwee, Bill Fellows, Emma Holzer, Rick Warden, Ian Whyte, Leon Ockenden, Emma Campbell-Jones, Callum Goulden, Suzanne Magowan, Indianna Ryan, Mark Ryan, Oliver Trevena and Sarah Lambie. The movie is set in 1665 against the backdrop of the Great Plague and the subsequent witch hunts in England and follows a woman who grapples with the tragic death of her husband in a society completely consumed by fear and death. Marshall and Kirk also co-wrote the screenplay with Edward Evers-Swindell (Dark Signal). Steffen Wild (Baseline) is producing the project for Fourth Culture Films, alongside Daniel-Konrad Cooper (Dead in a Week or Your Money Back, Burn Burn Burn) for Rather Good Films . The Reckoning will premiere at this year’s virtual Fantasia Film Festival in August.
Drake also continues to AMC Shudder’s Creepshow, which has been renewed for a second season.
