Air-Edel Records has released a soundtrack album for Matteo Garrone’s new film adaptation of Pinocchio. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina, Kubo and the Two Strings, V for Vendetta, Darkest Hour). Also included is the end titles song Passo Passo written by Marianelli and featuring vocalist Petra Magoni. The soundtrack is now available digitally in Italy. Pinocchio is written and directed by Garrone and stars Roberto Begnini as Geppetto, alongside Gigi Proietti, Rocco Papaleo, Marcello Fonte, Federico Ielapi, Massimo Ceccherini, Matilda De Angelis, Alida Baldari Calabria, Alessio Di Domenicantonio, Maria Pia Timo and Davide Marotta. The movie is being released in Italian theaters this weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
