Christopher Benstead has made his feature film scoring debut on the new action comedy The Gentlemen. The film is is written and directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant. The movie follows American expat who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. Ritchie is also producing the project with Ivan Atkinson and Bill Block (Halloween, Fury, Bad Moms). Benstead has previously contributed additional music and served as music editor and score arranger on Disney’s Aladdin (directed by Ritchie) and Beauty and the Beast. His other credits as a music editor include Gravity, Wonder Woman, Captain Phillips, Thor and Cinderella. The Gentlemen will be released in the UK on January 1, 2020 and will arrive in U.S. theaters on January 24, 2020 through STX Entertainment. Visit the official movie website for more information.
