Trevor Gureckis (The Goldfinch, Bloodline, Wetlands) has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller Voyagers. The film is written and directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Divergent, The Upside) and stars Tye Sherdian, Lily-Rose Depp, Fionn Whitehead, Colin Farrell, Chanté Adams, Viveik Kalra, Quintessa Swindell, Archie Madekwe and Archie Renaux. The movie takes place in the near future, as an odyssey of thirty young men and women on a multi-generational deep space mission in search of a new home descends into madness. Burger is also producing the AGC Studios and Thunder Road production with Basil Iwanyk (John Wick, Sicario, The Town) and Brendon Boyea. Voyagers is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2020.
Gureckis has also recently scored the first season of the Apple TV+ original series Servant created by Tony Basgallop, executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Toby Kebbell, Lauren Ambrose, Nell Tiger Free and Rupert Grint. The show follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home. The show will premiere on November 28 exclusively on Apple TV+.
