Mercury Classics will release a soundtrack album for Xavier Dolan’s French-Canadian drama Matthias & Maxime. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jean-Michel Blais who made his feature film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 25 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. A vinyl edition is set to come out the following week and is available for pre-order here. Matthias & Maxime is written and directed by Dolan and stars Gabriel D’Almeida Fritas, Dolan, himself, Pier-Luc Funk, Samuel Gauthier, Antoine Pilon and Harris Dickinson. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was released in Canada this past week and will be coming out in French theaters this Wednesday. No word yet on a domestic release.
