Gabriel Mann is composing the original score for two new CBS comedies, including The Unicorn created by Bill Martin & Mike Schiff (3rd Rock from the Sun) and starring Walton Goggins, Rob Corddry, Michaela Watkins, Omar Miller, Maya Lynne Robinson, Ruby Jay, Makenzie Moss and Devin Bright. The show follows a tight-knit group of best friends and family who help the series’ lead character embrace his “”new normal”” after the loss of his wife a year earlier. Martin & Schiff are also executive producing the CBS Television production with Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan (Life in Pieces, Santa Clarita Diet) & Dana Honor & Wendi Trilling (The Neighborhood) and Peyton Reed (Ant-Man, Bring It On). Mann is also scoring the CBS comedy Carol’s Second Act created by Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins (Booksmart) and starring Patricia Heaton, Ito Aghayere, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Sabrina Jalees, Kyle MacLachlan and Ashley Tisdale. The show centers on a woman who embarks on a unique second act after raising her children, getting divorced and retiring from teaching: pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. Halpern, Haskins and Heaton are also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Four Boys Entertainment’s Adam Griffin, David Hunt (Amazing Grace) & Rebecca Stay, as well as Aaron Kaplan & Dana Honor.
