The composer duo of tomandandy (The Strangers, The Mothman Prophecies, The Rules of Attraction, Resident Evil: Afterlife) is reuniting with director Johannes Roberts on the upcoming shark thriller sequel 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. The film starring Sophie Nelisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju, Sistine Stallone, Davi Santos, Khylin Rambo and John Corbett follows four teen girls diving in a ruined underwater city, who quickly find themselves in a watery hell when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves. Roberts (The Strangers: Prey at Night, The Other Side of the Door) also co-wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera. James Harris & Mark Lane (Final Score, Cockneys vs Zombies), and Robert Jones (Dirty Pretty Things, Centurion) are producing the project. Tomandandy have previously scored Roberts’ original 47 Meters Down movie, which opened in 2017. 47 Meters Down: Uncaged will be released in theaters nationwide on August 16, 2019 by Entertainment Studios.
As previously reported, the composers also have Scott Beck’s & Bryan Woods’ horror thriller Haunt and Roger Avery’s crime thriller Lucky Day coming up. They have also scored the horror thriller The Silence, which will premiere on Netflix on April 12 and the documentary The Infiltrators, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is currently awaiting a distribution deal.
