Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio and the Austin, TX-based rock & roll band Burgess Meredith have composed the original music for the upcoming indie comedy Frances Ferguson. The film is directed by Bob Byington and stars Kaley Wheless, Nick Offerman, Keith Poulson, David Krumholtz, Martin Starr, Jennifer Prediger, Bill Wise, John Gatins, Dante Harper and Megan Jerabek. Scott King (SMILF, Difficult People) wrote the screenplay. Zefrey Throwell is producing the project. Baio has previously scored Byington’s 2012 & 2015 features Somebody Up There Likes Me and 7 Chinese Brothers. Frances Ferguson will premiere in March at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival.
