Back Lot Music will release a score album for Illumination Entertainment’s animated feature Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch. The album features the film’s original score composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 9, 2018 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. As previously reported, Columbia Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie and two tracks from Elfman’s score. Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch is directed by Scott Mosier & Yarrow Cheney, narrated by Pharrell Williams and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit. The animated movie narrated will be released in theaters nationwide on November 9 by Universal Pictures.
