Propelr Music has released as soundtrack album for the comedy drama Chasing the Blues. The album features the film’s original songs performed by Jonathon Linaberry, aka The Bones of J.R. Jones. Also included are tracks by Peg Leg Howell, Buddy & Ella Johnson, Sylvester Weaver, Cecil Otter and Mississippi John Hurt. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Chasing the Blues is co-written and directed by Scott Smith and stars Grant Rosenmeyer, Ronald L. Conner, Jon Lovitz, Steve Guttenberg, Chelsea Tavares and Anna Maria Horsford. The movie follows two rival record collectors as they conspire against each other to dupe an old lady out of a rare but cursed blues record, O Death Where Is Thy Sting?.
