Needlewood Records has released a soundtrack album for the German drama Different Kinds of Rain (1000 Arten Regen zu beschreiben). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) (Lion, Adrift, Patrick Melrose, Gunpowder, In Dubious Battle). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples and the track list. Different Kinds of Rain is directed by Isa Prahl and stars Bjarne Mädel, Bibiana Beglau, Emma Bading, Janina Fautz and Louis Hofmann. The drama premiered at last year’s Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Film and the Grand Prix for Best Original Score, and was released in German theaters this past March. No word on a domestic release.
