Universal Music has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story. The album features tracks from guitar virtuoso Mick Ronson’s solo records, as well as material from his key collaborations with David Bowie, Elton John, Ian Hunter, Michael Chapman and Queen. Also included is a previously unreleased cover version of This Is For You by Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and a piano tribute to Ronson from Bowie’s piano-man and band alumni Mike Garson. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 8, 2018. Visit Amazon to order the digital, CD and vinyl version. Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story is directed by Jon Brewer and centers on the life of rock hero Mick Ronson, who was largely commercially overlooked despite his direct contribution and pivotal involvement in countless iconic compositions of David Bowie and The Spiders from Mars. The documentary premiered last year in select theaters and is now available on VOD and Blu-ray/DVD.
