Capitol Nashville has released a soundtrack album for the National Geograhic event series The Long Road Home. The album features songs from and inspired by the show by artists including Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Eric Paslay, Darius Rucker, Hayes Carll, Dixie Chicks, Ryan Adams, Kip Moore, John Mellencamp & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A separate soundtrack featuring Jeff Beal’s score from the drama is also in the works. The Long Road Home is developed by Mikko Alanne and stars Michael Kelly, Jason Ritter, Kate Bosworth, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jeremy Sisto and Noel Fisher, Jon Beavers, E.J. Bonilla, Jorge Diaz, Darius Homayoun and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The 8-parter is based on the book of the same name by Martha Raddatz and chronicles the events of April 4th, 2004, when a platoon was ambushed in Sadr City, Baghdad, in an attack that came to be known as “Black Sunday.” The series will premiere next Tuesday, November 7, 2017 on Nat Geo.
