Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy C’est la vie! (Le sens de la fête). The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz musician Avishai Cohen. Also included are songs by Earth Wind & Fire, Cascadeur, Candi Staton & more. The soundtrack is now available digitally in France. A CD version can now be pre-ordered as an import on Amazon. C’est la vie! is directed by Olivier Nakache & Eric Toledano (The Intouchables) and stars Jean-Pierre Bacri, Jean-Paul Rouve, Gilles Lellouche, Vincent Macaigne, Eye Haïdara and Suzanne Clément. The movie follows a long-suffering caterer hoping to get through one last, mishap-heavy dinner party. The comedy premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival and was released in French theaters this past week. No word yet on a domestic release.
