ABC Australia will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Ali’s Wedding. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nigel Westlake (Babe, Babe: Pig in the City, Miss Potter, Paper Planes) and performed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released on September 1, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ali’s Wedding is directed by Jeffrey Walker and stars Osamah Sami, Helana Sawires, Don Hany, Rodney Afif, Robert Rabiah, Majid Shokor, Rahel Romahn, Frances Duca, Ryan Corr and Maha Wilson. The movie follows the son of a Muslim cleric who finds himself caught between his sense of duty and following his heart – to follow through with his arranged marriage, or be with the girl he loves. The comedy will be released in Australian theaters on August 31. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
