Lyle Workman is composing the original score for the new Freeform original series The Bold Type. The show is created by Sarah Watson (Parenthood, Pure Genius) and stars Melora Hardin, Katie Stevens, Sam Page, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy and Matt Ward. The drama is inspired by the life of “Cosmopolitan” editor in chief, Joanna Coles and follows the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for a global women’s magazine. Watson is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Coles, David Bernad (Superstore, The D Train) and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad). The Bold Type is premiering tonight (following a special preview in June) and will air Tuesday nights on Freeform. Visit the official show website for updates.
Workman (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Superbad) will also return to score the third season of Netflix’s Love and the second season of HBO’s Crashing, both of which are set to premiere in 2018.
