Tom Howe is scoring the upcoming biographical drama Professor Marston & the Wonder Women. The film is written and directed by Angela Robinson (True Blood, The L Word) and stars Luke Evans, Bella Heathcote, Rebecca Hall, Connie Britton and Oliver Platt. The movie tells the story of Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston, the inventor of the lie detector and creator of Wonder Woman, who defends his feminist superhero against charges of “sexual perversity.” Amy Redford, Andrea Sperling (Like Crazy, Smashed, Breathe In) and Terry Leonard (Hounddog) are producing the project for Topple Productions and Boxspring Entertainment. Jill Soloway (Transparent, Lars and the Real Girl) serves as an executive producer. Professor Marston & the Wonder Women is expected to premiere later this year.
Howe also contributed additional music to Warner Bros. upcoming Wonder Woman, which was scored by Rupert Gregson-Williams. The composer has also composed the score for the animated feature Charming written and directed by Ross Venokur. The movie, which features the voices of Demi Lovato, Wilmer Valderrama, Sia Furler, Ashley Tisdale and Avril Lavigne, is expected to be released later this year. Harry Gregson-Williams serves as the project’s score producer.
