This week, George Fenton is recording his score for the upcoming drama Woman Walks Ahead. The film is directed by Susanna White (Nanny McPhee Returns, Our Kind of Traitor) and stars Jessica Chastain, Sam Rockwell, Ciaran Hinds, Michael Greyeyes, Chaske Spencer and Bill Camp. The movie tells the true story of Catherine Weldon, a portrait painter from 1890s Brooklyn, who travels to Dakota to paint a portrait of Sitting Bull, and becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples’ struggle over the rights to their land. Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Locke, Peaky Blinders) wrote the screenplay. Edward Zwick & Marshall Herskovitz (The Last Samurai, Legends of the Fall, Blood Diamond) are producing the project for Bedford Falls Company, alongside Erika Olde (November Criminals) for Black Bicycle Entertainment, Rick Solomon (I Am Sam) and Andrea Calderwood (The Last King of Scotland, A Most Wanted Man) for Potboiler. The composer is recording his music at Air Studios in London. Woman Walks Ahead is expected to premiere later this year.

Last night I watched WOMAN WALKS AHEAD and was deeply impressed with the music throughout the film, especially the solo guitar towards the end of the film. Is the soundtrack available ? I look forward to you response.
Thank you for the pleasure of not only ‘listening to’ but thoroughly appreciating your work.
With sincere regards,
