Jeff Rona is set to reteam with director Todd Robinson on the upcoming political drama The Last Full Measure. The film is written and directed by Robinson and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli and Linus Roache. The movie follows a Pentagon investigator who reluctantly teams with veterans of the 1966 Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic who is seen saving the lives of over 60 Marines ambushed during the Vietnam War. Timothy Scott Bogart, Mark Damon (Monster), Lauren Selig, Julian Adams, Nicholas Cafritz, Robert Reed Peterson and Shaun Sanghani (King Cobra) are producing the project. Rona has previously scored Robinson’s last feature Phantom and also composed the music for the Robinson-scripted White Squall. The Last Full Measure begins shooting this month. No release date has been announced yet.
As previously reported Rona’s recent projects also include the Indian historical drama Veeram. The composer also has the documentary Generation Iron 2 coming up. The film is the sequel to the 2013 film, which Rona also scored. The is movie directed by Vlad Yudin and takes a broader look at the expanding fitness and bodybuilding industry and features bodybuilding stars Kai Greene, Calum Von Moger, Jay Cutler, Rich Piana, Big Ramy, Iris Kyle, Steve Cook, Dana Linn Bailey, Rich Gaspari, as well as cameos by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lee Haney. Edwin Mejia is producing the documentary, which will be released in U.S. theaters this May.
