Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Dalida. The album features the songs from the movie by the drama’s subject, Dalida. Also included is the movie’s original score composed by Jean-Claude Petit (Jean de Florette, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Horseman on the Roof). The soundtrack will be overseas on January 6, 2017 and is now available for -pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list. Dalida is written and directed by Lisa Azuelos (LOL (Laughing Out Loud), Quantum Love) and stars Sveva Alviti in the title role, alongside Riccardo Scamarcio, Vincent Perez, Niels Schneider, Jean-Paul Rouve and Patrick Timsit. The movie tells the life story of the tragic Cairo-born French-Italian popular music diva who committed suicide in 1987 in Paris, after selling more than 130 million records worldwide. The drama will be released in France on January 17. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
