The full details of the soundtrack album for Robert Zemeckis’ romantic thriller Allied have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger). Also included are five swing classics as featured in the movie by Benny Goodman, Louis Primas & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 18, 2016 and physically overseas the following week. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Allied stars Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard, Jared Harris, Lizzy Caplan, Simon McBurney, Daniel Betts, Camille Cottin, August Diehl and Matthew Goode. The movie follows an intelligence officer, who in 1942 North Africa encounters a French Resistance fighter on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war. The thriller will be released nationwide on November 23 by Paramount Pictures. Just sayin’…..just saw the film and although I really like Alan Silvesrtri’s scores, he seems to have re-used his composition from Grumpy Old Men in the Letter/closing credits or at least quite a few of the same cadences.
Somewhat disappointing.
