Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the Britsh comedy A Street Cat Named Bob. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee David Hirschfelder (Elizabeth, Shine, Australia, The Railway Man, The Water Diviner). Also included are the original songs from the movie written by Charlie Fink (best known for fronting the indie band Noah and the Whale) and performed by lead actor Luke Treadaway. The soundtrack will be released overseas on October 28, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A Street Cat Named Bob is directed by Roger Spottiswoode (Tomorrow Never Dies) and stars Treadaway, Ruta Gedmintas, Joanne Froggatt and Anthony Head. The movie based on James Bowen’s bestselling novel tells the true story of the unlikely friendship between a young homeless busker and a stray ginger cat named Bob who changed his life. The comedy will be released in the UK on November 4 and in the U.S. on November 18.
