Verve Label Group has released a soundtrack album for Gabriele Muccino’s drama drama Summertime (L’Estate Addosso). The album features the film’s original music written by Italian singer/songwriter Jovanotti (aka Lorenzo Cherubini). Also included are two songs by Jaselli and Ashley Rodriguez. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. A CD version will be released later this month (click here to pre-order). Summertime is witten and directed by Muccino (The Pursuit of Happiness, Seven Pounds) and stars Brando Pacitto, Matilda Lutz, Taylor Frey and Joseph Haro. The movie follows a gay couple living in San Francisco who takes in two strangers traveling from Italy to start a new life in America. The drama just premiered at the Venice Film Festival and will be released in Italy on September 16. No word yet on a domestic release.
