Joseph Trapanese has composed the score for the pilot episode of the upcoming Amazon original series Jean-Claude Van Johnson. The show stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as a global martial arts and film sensation who is operating under the simple alias of “Johnson,” the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world. Kat Foster, Moises Arias and Phylicia Rashad are co-starring. Van Damme is also executive producing the Scott Free production with Peter Atencio (Keanu, Key and Peele), Ridley Scott (Gladiator, The Martian, Alien) and David W. Zucker (The Good Wife, The Man in the High Castle, Mercy Street). Atencio has also directed the pilot and David Callaham (The Expendables, Godzilla) has written the script. The Jean-Claude Van Johnson pilot will premiere on August 19, 2016 on Amazon.
Trapanese also has Netflix’s Jadotville starring Jamie Dornan and the thriller Shimmer Lake starring Benjamin Walker coming up. He is also scoring Freeform’s Dead of Summer, which currently airs every Tuesday night.
