Brian Tyler is set to return as the composer for the upcoming action sequel Fast 8. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job) and stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Eva Mendes and Kurt Russell who reprise their roles from the previous movies. They are joined by Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood. No plot details have been announced yet. Chris Morgan (Wanted) who scripted the last four installments returns as the screenwriter. Neal Moritz (21/22 Jump Street, I Am Legend, xXx) is producing the project with Diesel. Tyler has previously scored the third, fourth, fifth and seventh part in the series. He also previously collaborated with Gray on Law Abiding Citizen. Fast 8 will be released on April 14, 2017 by Universal Pictures.
