David Julyan has recently recorded his score for the upcoming supernatural thriller The Crucifixion. The film is directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman, The Divide) and stars Sophie Cookson, Javier Botet, Alexis Rodney and Radu Andrei Micu. The movie is based on the true story of a priest who was convicted of murdering a nun after performing an exorcism on her. Chad and Carey Hayes (The Conjuring, The Reaping, House of Wax) have written the screenplay. They are also producing the project with Peter Safran (Annabelle, Buried), Leon Clarance (Sense8), Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel and Ara Keshishian (Maggie). The Crucifixion is expected to premiere later this year.
Julyan whose best known film scoring credits include Christopher Nolan’s Memento, Insomnia and The Prestige, as well as the The Descent also has the thriller Broken Vows coming up. The film is directed by Bram Coppens and stars Wes Bentley, Jaimie Alexander, Cam Gigandet and Alexandra Breckinridge. The movie follows a charming yet troubled man who spirals into a rage after being rejected by the woman he initially seduced. Jim Agnew & Sean Keller (Rage) have written the script and Wendy Benge is producing the project. The thriller will be released later this year.
