Jun Miyake has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama Oppenheimer Strategies. The film is written and directed by Joseph Cedar (Footnote, Beaufort) and stars Richard Gere, Michael Sheen, Steve Buscemi, Josh Charles, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Dan Stevens, Isaach De Bankole and Lior Ashkenazi. The movie follows a man whose life dramatically changes after the young politician he befriended during a dark period in his life becomes an influential world leader. Gideon Tadmor is producing the project with Miranda Bailey (The Diary of a Teenage Girl), David Mandil, Lawrence Inglee & Eyal Rimmon (Swiss Army Men) and Oren Moverman (The Messenger, Rampart). The Japanese composer and trumpet player is best known for his solo albums. He has previously scored a number of smaller features and shorts. His music was also featured prominently in Wim Wenders’ documentary Pina. Oppenheimer Strategies is expected to premiere later this year.
