La-La Land Records has released the world premiere release of the score for the Academy Award-winning 1980 drama Ordinary People directed by Robert Redford and starring Donald Sutherland, Mary Tyler Moore and Timothy Hutton. The album features the film’s original music written and conducted by Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch (The Sting, The Way We Were, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Informant!). The soundtrack also features the world premiere release of the composer’s score for the 1973 drama Save the Tiger directed by John G. Avildsen and starring Jack Lemmon. The release, which is limited to 1500 copies, will be available to order tomorrow, April 19 on the label’s official website.
