Antonio Pinto has been tapped to score the upcoming court room drama Custody. The film is written and directed by James Lapine (Life with Mikey, screenwriter of Into the Woods) and stars Catalina Sandino Moreno, Hayden Panettiere, Viola Davis, Tony Shalhoub, Raul Esparza, Dan Fogler and Ellen Burstyn. The movie follows a single mom who fights the government to keep her two kids after they’re wrongfully put into protective custody. Lapine is also producing the project with Lauren Versel (City Island, The Last Five Years) and Katie Mustard (Shelter, We’ll Never Have Paris). Custody will premiere in April at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
Pinto’s upcoming projects also include the thriller Shot Caller starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and the Brazilian drama Little Secrets. The composer’s previous scoring credits include such films as City of God, Lord of War, Senna, Amy, McFarland, USA and The Host
Great news. Pinto is one of my favorite composers. His work on “Behind the Sun” and “Snitch” is simply phenomenal.
