Harry Gregson-Williams is composing the music for the upcoming HBO original movie Confirmation. The film is directed by Rick Famuyiwa (Dope, The Wood) and stars Kerry Washington, Wendell Pierce, Greg Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Eric Stonestreet, Jennifer Hudson, Dylan Baker, Erika Christensen, Kimberly Elise, Malcolm Gets, Grace Gummer, Bill Irwin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Peter McRobbie, Treat Williams and Alison Wright. The drama details the 1991 Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination hearings and revisits the national debate over race relations and sexual harassment sparked during the hearings when law professor Anita Hill testified about her experiences with Thomas. Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich, Pocahontas, Catch and Release, Charlotte’s Web) has written the script and is also producing the project with Michael London (Sideways, The House of Sand and Fog, The Visitor), Janice Williams (Trumbo, Love the Coopers) and Washington. Confirmation will premiere this coming April on HBO.
