The Newton Brothers are reteaming with director Mike Flanagan on the upcoming horror thriller Ouija 2. The film is a sequel to last year’s hit horror feature Ouija and stars Annalise Basso, Elizabeth Reaser, Henry Thomas, Lulu Wilson, Parker Mack, Sam Anderson, Kate Siegel, and Doug Jones. No plot details have been announced yet. Flanagan has also co-written the screenplay with Jeff Howard. Michael Bay (Transformers, Armageddon), Brad Fuller & Andrew Form (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Purge, Friday the 13th) are producing the project for Platinum Dunes, alongside Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) for Blumhouse Productions, Trevor Mercy and Brian Goldner & Stephen Davis (G.I. Joe, Battleship) for Hasbro. The Newton Brothers have previously collaborated with Flanagan on Oculus, as well as the upcoming Hush and Before I Wake, which they co-scored with Danny Elfman. Anton Sanko scored last year’s original film. Ouija 2 is set to be released on October 21, 2016 by Universal Pictures.
