Tyler Bates has composed the music for the upcoming horror thriller Keep Watching. The film is directed by Sean Carter and stars Bella Thorne, Ioan Gruffudd, Chandler Riggs, Ioan Gruffudd, Chandler Riggs, Natalie Martinez, Matthew Willig and Leigh Whannell. The movie centers on a family attacked in their home by intruders who play a life-and-death game with mysterious rules. Joseph Dembner has written the screenplay. Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Killer Joe) and Craig J. Flores (Charlie Countryman, Fathers & Daughters) are producing the project for Voltage Films, alongside Andrew Rona (Unknown, The Gunman) & Alex Heineman (Non-Stop) for The Picture Company. Keep Watching is expected to be released next year by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.
Bates also has the horror thriller The Belko Experiment coming up. The film is directed by Greg McLean (Wolf Creek, 6 Miranda Drive) and stars John C. McGinley, Melonie Diaz, John Gallagher Jr., Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Steve Agee, Tony Goldwyn. The movie follows 83 American expatriates who work in a building in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and find themselves trapped in their workplace and forced through a series of murderous moral decisions. James Gunn has written the screenplay and is also producing the project with Peter Safran (The Conjuring, Annabelle, Buried). Bates and Gunn have previously collaborated on such films as Guardians of the Galaxy, Super and Slither. They are also set to reteam on Marvel’s upcoming sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is set to be released on May 5, 2017 by Walt Disney Pictures.
