Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Academy Award-nominated documentary Virunga. The album features the film’s original music composed by Patrick Jonsson. The soundtrack is now available as a limited edition of 1000 copies on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to several tracks from the score. The album will also be available as a digital release and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Virunga is directed by Orlando von Einsiedel, executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and follows a team of embattled park rangers as they work to fend off encroaching forces of industry, poaching, corruption and war. The documentary premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and was released in select theates and on Netflix last year.
