Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the new Fox comedy The Grinder. The show is created by Andrew Mogel & Jarrad Paul (The D Train, Yes Man) and stars Rob Lowe, Fred Savage, William Devane, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Natalie Morales, Hana Hayes and Connor Kalopsis. The series follows a TV lawyer, known as The Grinder, who returns to his small-town home after his show is cancelled to work for his family’s real-life law firm. Mogel and Paul are also executive producing the project with Jess Wexler (The Comedians) and Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Walk Hard, New Girl) who also directed the pilot episode. The Grinder will premiere on September 29, 2015 and will air every Tuesday night on Fox. For updates on the comedy, visit the official show website.
Cardoni also continues to score The League, which currently airs Wednesday nights on FX, and also has Fox’s Guide to Surviving Life coming up. The composer’s upcoming feature projects include Where the Bad Kids Go and Bob Nelson’s The Confirmation starring Clive Owen, which has recently been picked up by Saban Films for a theatrical release in early 2016.
