Mark Kilian has recently composed the music for the pilot of the upcoming ABC drama Of Kings and Prophets. The show is created by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Accepted, Tower Heist) and stars Ray Winstone, Haaz Sleiman, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Oliver Rix, Simone Kessell, James Floyd, Mohammad Bakri and Tomer Kapon. The biblical drama centers around a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet, and a resourceful young shepherd who are on a collision course with destiny. Cooper and Collage are also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Jason Reed, Reza Aslan and Mahyad Tousi. Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Hostages, Chicago Fire) has directed the pilot episode. Kilian has previously scored Nachmanoff’s 2008 feature Traitor starring Don Cheadle. Of Kings and Prophets will premiere this fall and air every Sunday night on ABC. As previously reported, Kilian also has Gavin Hood’s Eye in the Sky starring Helen Mirren & Aaron Paul coming. The composer’s other upcoming projects include the documentary Tiger Tiger directed by George Butler. The movie centers around Dr. Alan Rabinowitz, renowned big cat conservationist, as he travels deep into the primordial landscape of the Sundarbans – a tidal mangrove forest spanning the India-Bangladesh border.
