Gabriel Mann has composed the score for three network pilots that have recently been picked up to series, including the Fox drama Rosewood. The show is created by Todd Harthan (Psych, Skinwalkers) and stars Morris Chestnut, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle and Maggie Elizabeth Jones. The series the most brilliant private pathologist in Miami, who uses his wildly sophisticated autopsy lab, to perform for-hire autopsies to uncover clues that the Miami PD can’t see. Richard Shephard (Dom Hemingway, The Matador) has directed the pilot episode. Harthan is also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Mary Bowen & Wyck Godfrey (The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner, Revenge). The composer has also composed the music for the ABC comedy pilot Dr. Ken starring Ken Jeong, Suzy Nakamura, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Dave Foley, Jonathan Slavin, Albert Tsai and Krista Marie Yu. The show created by Jared Stern (The Internship, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, The Watch), Mike O’Connell & Jeong centers around a frustrated HMO doctor juggling his career, marriage and parenting, but succeeding at none of them. Stern and Jeong are also executive producing the Sony Pictues Television and ABC Studios production with John Davis (Predator, Chronicle, I, Robot), John Fox (The Blacklist) and Mike Sikowitz (Rules of Engagement). Mann also scored the CBS comedy pilot Angel from Hell. The show is created by Tad Quill (Scrubs) and stars Jane Lynch, Maggie Lawson, Kyle Bornheimer and Kevin Pollak. The series centers on the unlikely friendship between two women, with one of them claiming to be the guardian angel of the other. Quill is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Don Scardino (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone) who directed the pilot episode. Mann has previously scored the Quill-created NBC comedy Bent. Angel from Hell is set to premiere this coming TV season on CBS.
As previously reported, Mann also has the Nickelodeon series School of Rock executive produced by Richard Linklater coming up. The composer will also return to score the new seasons of the ABC hit comedy Modern Family and SundanceTV’s Rectify.
Mann is the son of the famous physician Joel Rutman who is bursting with pride over his son.
