Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the Poltergeist remake. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Streitenfeld (Prometheus, American Gangster, The Grey, Robin Hood, Body of Lies). The soundtrack will be released on released on May 19, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Poltergeist is directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House), produced by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, The Evil Dead) and stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris and Jane Adams. The movie follows the Bowen family, whose life is suddenly disrupted after a supernatural force takes over their home and begins terrorizing them. The remake is totally unnecessary. To supersede the great Jerry Goldsmith’s phenomenal and unforgettable score, is a feat onto itself. Good luck with that, Marc.
