On Sunday, March 15, the Golden State Pops Orchestra (GSPO) will perform A Spoonful of Sherman: A Symphonic Concert at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. The event will feature performances of the songs by the sibling songwriting team of Richard and Robert Sherman who penned some of the most memorable melodies in the Walt Disney songbook, including It’s A Small World and music for Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Winnie the Pooh and The Jungle Book. A quintet of dynamic vocalists and a children’s chorus will be joining the GSPO and Richard Sherman himself will make a special appearance. For the first time in 13 years, the GSPO will produce a concert in Redondo Beach, CA. For more information about the event and to buy tickets, click here.
