Jeff Danna is reteaming with director Brett Morgen on the upcoming documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck. The film centers around Kurt Cobain, lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of Nirvana, who remains an icon 20 years after his death. The movie follows Cobain’s life and his career with Nirvana through the lens of his home movies, recordings, artwork, photography, and journals. The documentary features interviews with his family and closest confidantes, including Courtney Love and Dave Grohl. Morgen is also producing the project with Danielle Renfrew Behrens (The Queen of Versailles, Groove). Danna has previously collaborated with Morgen on such films as The Kid Stays in the Picture and Chicago 10. Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck is set to premiere later this month at the Sundance Film Festival.
As previously reported, Danna also has Tim Blake Nelson’s Anesthesia starring Glenn Close & Kristen Stewart coming up.
I am excited about this.
