Mark Orton is composing the music for the upcoming indie comedy People, Places, Things. The film is written and directed by James C. Strouse and stars Jemaine Clement, Regina Hall, Stephanie Allynne and Jessica Williams. The movie follows a newly single, under-employed graphic novelist balancing parenting his young twin daughters and a classroom full students while exploring a new love and letting go of the woman who left him. Michael B. Clark (Safety Not Guaranteed) and Alex Turtletaub are producing the project for Beachside. Strouse’s previous two features were scored by Clint Eastwood (Grace is Gone) and Edward Shearmur (The Winning Season). Orton has previously composed the score for such films as Alexander Payne’s Nebraska, Miguel Arteta’s The Good Girl and this year’s My Old Lady. People, Places, Things is currently in post-production and will be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
